Key takeaways
- As of November 5, 2026, Solana rent reclaim services charge from about 0.00004 SOL per closed account (Sol Incinerator) to 20% of the recovered rent (Smithii and CleanYourSOL).
- On 100 empty SPL token accounts opened before the rent change, worth 0.2039 SOL in total, Sol Incinerator returns about 0.200 SOL and SOLTidy about 0.194 SOL after fees.
- Sol Incinerator and Unclaimed SOL are cheaper than SOLTidy's 5% for closing plain empty token accounts; Slerf (8%), RefundYourSOL (from 15%) and Smithii (20%) cost more.
- Every rent reclaim tool returns the same gross deposit, 0.00148844 or 0.00203928 SOL per SPL token account, because they all call the token program's CloseAccount instruction.
- A legitimate Solana rent reclaim tool only asks your wallet to sign close, burn or withdraw instructions and never asks for a seed phrase, a private key or a token approval.
The short answer
For closing plain empty token accounts, the cheapest services as of November 5, 2026 are Sol Incinerator (about 0.00004 SOL per account) and Unclaimed SOL (about 2%): Sol Incinerator leaves slightly more on older accounts, Unclaimed SOL on newer ones. SOLTidy and ClaimYourSol charge 5%; Slerf charges 8%, RefundYourSOL starts at 15%, and Smithii and CleanYourSOL keep 20%. The gross SOL is the same everywhere, 0.00148844 or 0.00203928 SOL per SPL token account, so pick on fee, on what else the scan covers, and on whether you trust the site.
I built SOLTidy, so read this with that in mind. Where another tool is cheaper or does more, the table says so. If you want the free routes too, such as wallet menus and the spl-token CLI, every method to reclaim Solana rent covers them.
Why does every tool recover the same SOL?
Every rent reclaim tool ends with the same instruction. A token account holds a rent deposit, and when the SPL Token or Token-2022 program runs CloseAccount, it pays the account's full lamport balance to the destination you name. A site does not "find" more SOL than another; it can only find more accounts, or keep less of what it closes.
How much each account holds depends on when it was opened. Solana lowered rent in 2026, and accounts keep what they were funded with:
| SPL token account opened | Rent deposit |
|---|---|
| Before the rent change | 0.00203928 SOL |
| After the rent change | 0.00148844 SOL |
| Excess on an older account you keep | 0.00055084 SOL withdrawable without closing |
The worked numbers for a real wallet are in how much SOL you can recover from token accounts.
What does each rent reclaim tool charge?
These are the fees each service publishes on its own site or docs, checked on November 5, 2026. Fees change without notice, so treat this as a snapshot and read the fee line in the confirmation screen before you sign.
| Tool | Fee for closing empty token accounts | Empty wallet (no SOL for fees) | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sol Incinerator | About 0.00004 SOL per account, 0.00007 SOL per Token-2022 account | Pays the network fee, recovers it from the rent | sol-incinerator.com |
| Unclaimed SOL | The greater of 2% or the rent above 0.002 SOL | Not stated | Unclaimed SOL fees |
| ClaimYourSol | 5%, and 1% on the 1st of every month | Fee Payer mode | ClaimYourSol blog |
| SOLTidy | 5% of the SOL recovered | Needs about 0.00001 SOL | Token Account Closer |
| Slerf Tools | 8% of the SOL recovered | Not stated | Slerf fee announcement |
| RefundYourSOL | Starts at 15%, "matchable down to 2%" | Fee Payer mode | refundyoursol.com |
| Smithii token incinerator | No upfront fee, keeps 20% of reclaimed rent | Not stated | Smithii incinerator |
| CleanYourSOL | 20% success fee | Asks you to deposit a minimum | cleanyoursol.com |
"Not stated" means I could not find it on the service's own pages, not that the feature is missing.
How much do you get back from 100 accounts?
On 100 empty SPL token accounts, the cheapest tool returns about 3% more SOL than SOLTidy and about 23% more than the most expensive. The table is arithmetic from the fees above, before the network fee of 5,000 lamports per transaction, which is the same everywhere.
| Tool | 100 old accounts (0.2039 SOL gross) | 100 new accounts (0.1488 SOL gross) |
|---|---|---|
| Sol Incinerator | 0.2000 SOL | 0.1449 SOL |
| Unclaimed SOL | 0.1998 SOL | 0.1459 SOL |
| ClaimYourSol (any day but the 1st) | 0.1937 SOL | 0.1414 SOL |
| SOLTidy | 0.1937 SOL | 0.1414 SOL |
| Slerf Tools | 0.1876 SOL | 0.1369 SOL |
| RefundYourSOL (15% rate) | 0.1733 SOL | 0.1265 SOL |
| Smithii, CleanYourSOL | 0.1631 SOL | 0.1191 SOL |
The gap between the cheap end and SOLTidy is about 0.005 to 0.006 SOL per hundred accounts. That is real money if you clean many wallets, and small next to what a fake site can take, so trust and coverage matter as much as the last thousandth.
What else does each tool find besides empty accounts?
Coverage decides the total more than the fee does, because a wallet usually has SOL in places a basic closer ignores. From the services' own pages, as of November 5, 2026:
- Excess rent on accounts you keep. Older accounts hold 0.00055084 SOL more than they now need. SOLTidy, Sol Incinerator, ClaimYourSol and Unclaimed SOL withdraw it; the others do not state it.
- pump.fun and PumpSwap accounts. SOLTidy, Sol Incinerator, ClaimYourSol and Unclaimed SOL close the volume accumulators and claim cashback. SOLTidy and Unclaimed SOL also claim pump.fun creator fees, which Sol Incinerator's docs say its Claim SOL mode does not.
- NFT burns. SOLTidy's NFT Burner charges 5% of the rent. Sol Incinerator charges about 0.0005 SOL per NFT and 0.00196 SOL per pNFT, and it also burns compressed and Metaplex Core NFTs, which SOLTidy does not.
- Dust. SOLTidy's Sell Dust for SOL swaps small balances through Jupiter and closes the account in the same transaction, for 5% of the SOL received. Unclaimed SOL charges 1.5% on swaps. Most others burn dust instead of selling it.
- Stake, buffers and DeFi rewards. SOLTidy's wallet cleanup withdraws deactivated stake for 0.002 SOL per account. Unclaimed SOL reaches further, into Raydium, Meteora and Kamino rewards, which SOLTidy does not.
Sol Incinerator and Unclaimed SOL are the closest to SOLTidy in scope, and both are cheaper per account. Where SOLTidy is different: one 5% rate for rent, NFTs and dust, a flat fee for stake, free approval revokes, and a 30% affiliate share paid inside the user's own transaction.
Which tool should you use?
Match the tool to the wallet:
- A handful of accounts. Use your wallet's close option or the CLI and pay only network fees.
- Many plain empty accounts, nothing else. Sol Incinerator or Unclaimed SOL leave you the most SOL.
- A wallet with zero SOL. Sol Incinerator, ClaimYourSol and RefundYourSOL can advance the network fee; SOLTidy needs about 0.00001 SOL to start.
- A trading wallet with pump.fun history, NFTs, dust and old stake. A tool that covers all of it in one scan saves time; SOLTidy and Unclaimed SOL are the two that claim creator fees as well. For bot wallets specifically, start with reclaiming SOL from trading bot wallets.
- Avoid paying 15–20% for plain account closing when 5% or less is available.
How do you check a rent reclaim site is safe?
The fee is the smaller risk. Fake copies of well-known reclaim sites are a common drainer setup, because people arrive expecting to sign several transactions. Before you connect:
- Type the domain yourself or use a bookmark. Do not follow links from replies, DMs or ads.
- Read the wallet prompt. A close shows SOL coming in. A transfer of tokens out, an approval or a "set authority" is not a close.
- Never paste a seed phrase or private key. None of the tools above needs one for a connected wallet.
- Start small. Close a few accounts and confirm the SOL arrived before doing the rest.

How SOLTidy's closer works
The Token Account Closer scans SPL Token and Token-2022 accounts, preselects the empty ones, and packs them into batched transactions. Each batch is simulated before you sign, and accounts that changed since the scan are dropped. It also withdraws excess rent from older accounts you keep and closes pump.fun and PumpSwap accumulators. The fee is 5% of the SOL each transaction recovers, taken inside that transaction, and nothing when nothing is recovered. If you only close plain accounts in bulk and fee is all that matters, one of the cheaper tools above is the better deal, and I would rather you know that.
Questions & answers
What is the cheapest tool to reclaim SOL rent?
For closing plain empty token accounts, as of November 5, 2026, Sol Incinerator at about 0.00004 SOL per account and Unclaimed SOL at about 2% are the lowest we found. Sol Incinerator returns slightly more on accounts opened before the rent change, Unclaimed SOL on accounts opened after it. The free options are your wallet's own close button, where it exists, and the spl-token CLI, which cost only network fees.
Is Sol Incinerator cheaper than SOLTidy?
Yes, for closing empty token accounts. Sol Incinerator keeps about 0.00004 SOL per standard account, while SOLTidy's 5% is 0.000074 to 0.000102 SOL per account. On 100 old accounts that is roughly 0.2000 SOL back against 0.1937 SOL. SOLTidy is cheaper on pNFT burns, where Sol Incinerator charges a fixed 0.00196 SOL.
Do all rent reclaim tools recover the same amount of SOL?
Gross, yes. Closing a token account returns its whole rent deposit to the owner, whichever tool builds the transaction. The net amount differs only by the service fee, and the total differs by coverage: some tools also withdraw excess rent from accounts you keep, close pump.fun accounts or burn NFTs, which others skip.
Are rent reclaim sites safe?
The reputable ones are non-custodial: they build a transaction and your wallet signs it, so nothing moves without your approval. The risk is fake sites that copy a real one. Check the domain, read what the wallet prompt says it will do, and leave any site that asks for a seed phrase, a private key or a token approval.
Why do some tools charge per account and others a percentage?
It is a pricing choice. A fixed fee per account is cheaper on old accounts with a large deposit and makes no difference to how much rent there is. A percentage scales with what you recover, so it costs less on small amounts such as excess rent withdrawals. Compare the fee line on each tool's confirmation screen for your own wallet.
