How a Meteora DAMM v2 launch works
DAMM v2 is Meteora's constant-product pool program. After your token is created, a single transaction wraps your SOL, opens the pool on a full price range, permanently locks the liquidity position SOLTidy just made for you, and, if you set one, swaps your first buy through the new pool. The position is an NFT in your wallet.
Because everything after the token happens in one transaction, there's no gap between the pool opening and your buy.
What it costs
SOLTidy: a flat 0.3 SOL. Meteora: no pool creation fee. Solana rent for the token is about 0.016 SOL, and for the pool, position and vaults about 0.017 SOL (as of November 2026). The SOL you deposit becomes the pool's SOL side.
The pool uses Meteora's 1% flat fee configuration, with trading fees collected in SOL. Configurations with a fee schedule start very high and would cut into your own first buy, so SOLTidy doesn't use them.
Locked liquidity that still earns
A permanent lock means the liquidity can never be withdrawn, by anyone, which is what buyers check. Unlike burning LP tokens on Raydium, the position NFT still claims its share of trading fees, so locking doesn't cost you the fee income. Check the result with the rug check.
Questions & answers
Does Meteora charge a fee to create a pool?
No. Creating a DAMM v2 pool costs only Solana account rent, about 0.017 SOL.
Can I still collect trading fees after locking?
Yes. The lock covers the liquidity; the position NFT in your wallet keeps claiming its trading fees.
Can I skip the lock?
Yes, switch off "Lock liquidity forever" before launching. Buyers will then see liquidity that can be withdrawn.
Why a 1% fee pool?
It's Meteora's standard flat configuration for new tokens, with fees in SOL. Fee-schedule configurations start far higher and would eat into your own first buy.
Is this non-custodial?
Yes. Everything is signed in your wallet, and the token, position NFT and bought tokens are yours.
