How it works
-
Connect your wallet
Plug in any Solana wallet — Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Ledger, OKX and more. Your keys never leave your device.
-
Scan
SOLTidy checks every SPL and Token-2022 account on your wallet in parallel, plus excess rent and pump.fun accounts — usually in under a second.
-
Claim
Sign once per batch and the rent lands back in your wallet within seconds, minus a flat 5% fee taken in the same transaction.
Close every empty token account in one pass
SOLTidy is a non-custodial Solana tool that finds the SOL locked in your wallet's token accounts and returns it to you. One scan covers both token programs, SPL Token and Token-2022, and finds three sources of SOL: empty token accounts to close, older accounts you keep that hold more rent than they now need, and pump.fun and PumpSwap trading accounts.
Empty accounts are selected for you, so a routine cleanup is one click and a signature per batch. Up to 12 items go into each transaction, every transaction is simulated before you sign, and anything that changed since the scan is dropped rather than failing the batch. We never touch your keys, never ask for token approvals and never hold your funds: each transaction is built in your browser and signed in your own wallet. To reclaim SOL from NFTs, stake, dust and pump.fun rewards in the same run, use the Solana wallet cleanup on the home page.
How much SOL can you reclaim?
Each empty SPL token account returns 0.00148844 SOL if it was opened after Solana lowered rent, or 0.00203928 SOL if it was opened before. Token-2022 accounts return a little more because extensions make them larger. The total is simple multiplication: 50 empty accounts hold between about 0.074 and 0.102 SOL, and 200 hold 0.30 to 0.41 SOL.
The scan shows the exact figure for your wallet before you sign, read from each account's real balance rather than an estimate. The full breakdown by account type is in how much SOL you can recover from token accounts.
Get SOL back from tokens you still hold
Solana lowered its rent rate, but an account keeps the lamports it was created with. A token account opened before the change holds 0.00203928 SOL while it now needs only 0.00148844, so 0.00055084 SOL in every older account is spare. SOLTidy withdraws that difference from the accounts you keep with the token program's WithdrawExcessLamports instruction: the account stays open and your tokens don't move.
This means a wallet with no empty accounts at all can still reclaim SOL. It is included by default and can be unticked in the summary. How it works in detail: get SOL back without closing token accounts.
Why trading leaves so many empty token accounts
Solana keeps every token balance in its own token account, and opening one costs a rent deposit. Each new token you buy on Jupiter, pump.fun, a Telegram trading bot or any other app opens an account for it. Selling everything empties the account but doesn't close it, so the deposit stays locked. An active memecoin trader can end up with hundreds of them, most hidden by the wallet because their balance is zero.
pump.fun and PumpSwap also open a small trading account for every wallet that trades on them, holding about 0.0013 SOL. Where the SOL goes after a trading session is covered in reclaiming SOL after pump.fun trades and reclaiming SOL from trading-bot wallets.
What it costs, and when you don't need SOLTidy
SOLTidy charges 5% of the SOL it recovers. The fee is part of each transaction and covers only the SOL that transaction returns, so if you stop halfway you pay only for what was reclaimed, and nothing is charged when nothing is recovered. Solana's network fee is 5,000 lamports per signature, a fraction of a percent of what a batch returns.
For a handful of accounts your wallet's own menu may be enough, and the spl-token command line closes accounts for network fees only. SOLTidy is built for the other case: dozens or hundreds of accounts across both token programs, spare rent on accounts you keep, and pump.fun accounts, found in one scan and closed in a few signatures. Methods side by side: ways to reclaim Solana rent compared.
Questions & answers
Where does this SOL actually come from? (Solana rent explained)
Every SPL or Token-2022 account on Solana holds a rent-exempt deposit — the SOL the network requires to keep the account stored. A token account opened today holds 0.00148844 SOL; one opened before Solana lowered rent still holds 0.00203928 SOL, because accounts keep what they were created with. After months of swaps, mints and airdrops, an active wallet collects dozens of them. Closing an empty one returns its whole deposit to your wallet.
How does SOLTidy work?
SOLTidy scans both token programs plus your pump.fun and PumpSwap accounts, then finds three sources of SOL: empty token accounts to close, older accounts you keep that hold more rent than they now need, and pump.fun trading accounts. Up to 12 go into each transaction, each transaction is simulated first, and the SOL lands in your wallet minus a flat 5% fee taken in the same transaction. A typical wallet finishes in 1–3 signatures.
What is excess rent, and do I lose my tokens?
No — your tokens and the account stay exactly as they are. Solana lowered its rent rate, but an account keeps the lamports it was created with, so a token account opened before the change holds 0.00203928 SOL while it now only needs 0.00148844. The token program's WithdrawExcessLamports instruction returns that 0.00055 SOL difference to you without closing anything. SOLTidy includes it automatically for every account you keep; you can untick it with the options under the summary.
What are the pump.fun trading accounts SOLTidy closes?
pump.fun and PumpSwap each create a small "volume accumulator" account for every wallet that trades on them, holding about 0.0013 SOL of rent. Closing one returns that SOL. SOLTidy skips any that still hold unclaimed rewards or cashback. If you trade on pump.fun again it recreates the account and charges the rent again, so untick it with the options under the summary if you're still trading there.
Is it safe to close Solana token accounts with SOLTidy?
Yes. SOLTidy is fully non-custodial: every transaction is built in your browser and signed locally by your wallet — Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Glow, Ledger, and any Solana Wallet Standard wallet. We never see your private key, never request token approvals, and never hold your assets. Closing empty accounts is reversible: if you ever receive that token again, your wallet just opens a new associated token account for it on demand.
Which accounts are selected, and can I change that?
After the scan every empty token account is selected, so routine cleanup is a single click on the Reclaim tab. The Tokens tab lists every account with a checkbox: untick any of them, or add accounts that still hold tokens (their balance is burned in the same transaction before the close). Filter by empty or with balance, and use Select empty to return to the default.
How do I reclaim SOL from my Solana wallet?
Connect your wallet on soltidy.com and let it scan. The Reclaim tab shows how much SOL your empty token accounts, spare rent and pump.fun accounts hold, after the 5% fee. Press Claim and approve each batch in your wallet; up to 12 accounts are closed per transaction and the SOL lands in your wallet within seconds.
Is reclaimed rent free SOL?
No — it is your own SOL. Every token account you opened took a rent deposit from your wallet, usually without you noticing because it was bundled into a swap or a buy. Closing the account returns that deposit. Be wary of any site that promises free SOL or asks for your seed phrase: reclaiming rent never needs either.
Do I need SOL in my wallet to reclaim rent?
A tiny amount. Each transaction pays Solana's network fee of 5,000 lamports (0.000005 SOL) per signature from your wallet before the rent comes back, so a wallet with exactly zero SOL can't send anything. About 0.00001 SOL is enough to start; the first batch returns far more than it costs.
Does SOLTidy close Token-2022 accounts?
Yes. The scan covers both the SPL Token program and Token-2022 in the same pass, so accounts for Token-2022 tokens — including pump.fun coins created with the newer standard — appear alongside SPL accounts. Accounts that can't be closed right now, such as frozen ones, are left out of the selection.
Can I close token accounts in Phantom without a tool?
Phantom hides tokens and can burn collectibles, but closing empty fungible token accounts one by one isn't something its help center documents. For a few accounts, the spl-token command line or another wallet's close option works for network fees only. A bulk tool like SOLTidy finds every empty account in one scan and closes them in batches, which matters once you have dozens.
Anything I should be careful about?
Empty accounts are always safe to close — that's why only they are selected by default. Be deliberate when you add non-empty accounts: the burn step destroys whatever balance is in the account, and that's not reversible. SOLTidy shows a clear red warning whenever non-empty accounts are selected so you sign with full context. Stick to the empty accounts if you're not sure.
Is there a fee?
A flat 5% of the SOL you recover — rent from closed accounts, excess rent withdrawn from accounts you keep, and any SOL that was sent to a token account by mistake — taken inside each transaction. Wrapped SOL you unwrap is not charged. Nothing is charged when nothing is recovered.
