How a Raydium CPMM launch works
CPMM is Raydium's constant-product pool program that works with standard SPL and Token-2022 tokens and needs no OpenBook market. The launch runs in order: first your token is created with the full supply in your wallet, then a transaction wraps your SOL, opens the pool with your two deposits and burns the LP tokens it gives you, then a separate transaction makes your first buy.
The buy has to wait for its own transaction because Raydium opens a new pool one second after the block that created it. SOLTidy retries the buy once if it lands too early.
What it costs
SOLTidy: a flat 0.3 SOL. Raydium: a one-time 0.15 SOL pool creation fee, the same on every Raydium CPMM fee tier (as of November 2026). Solana rent for the token, the pool and the accounts around it is about 0.05 SOL in total. The SOL you deposit isn't a cost: it becomes the pool's SOL side, priced against your tokens.
The pool uses Raydium's 0.25% trade fee tier, the standard one for new, volatile tokens.
Why burn the LP tokens
LP tokens are the receipt for your deposit: whoever holds them can withdraw the pool's SOL. Burning all of them means nobody, including you, can pull the liquidity, which is the first thing buyers and checkers look at after the mint authority. The trade-off is that you also give up your share of trading fees. You can verify the burn with the rug check, or burn LP tokens for an existing pool with the LP burner.
Questions & answers
How much is Raydium's pool creation fee?
0.15 SOL, paid to Raydium when the pool is created. It's the same on every CPMM fee tier and is shown before you sign.
Can I keep the LP tokens instead of burning them?
Yes, switch off "Burn liquidity" before you launch. You can then withdraw liquidity later, which buyers will see as a risk.
Why is the first buy a separate transaction?
Raydium opens a new pool one second after the block that created it, so a buy in the same transaction is refused. SOLTidy sends the buy right after and retries once if it's too early.
Do I need an OpenBook market?
No. CPMM pools don't use OpenBook, so there's no market to create or pay for.
Is this non-custodial?
Yes. Every transaction is built in your browser and signed in your wallet; the token and pool are yours.
