Key takeaways

  • As of November 5, 2026, Solana multisender fees are 0.0009 SOL per recipient on SOLTidy, 0.001 SOL on Smithii and Slerf Tools, and $1 per address on Bitbond's other-chain multisenders.
  • Sending an SPL token to a wallet that has never held it creates a token account costing 0.00148844 SOL of rent, paid by the sender, which is more than any multisender's fee.
  • Airdropping an SPL token to 1,000 new holders with SOLTidy costs about 0.9 SOL in service fees and about 1.49 SOL in token account rent, plus well under 0.001 SOL in network fees.
  • A Solana transaction is capped at 1,232 bytes, so SOLTidy's multisender fits about 20 SOL transfers or 9 new-account token transfers in each transaction.
  • Every reputable Solana multisender is non-custodial: transfers are built in the browser and signed in the sender's own wallet.

The short answer

As of November 5, 2026, SOLTidy charges 0.0009 SOL per recipient, Smithii and Slerf Tools charge 0.001 SOL, and Bitbond's multisenders on other chains charge $1 per address. FluxBeam's airdrop tool states no fee but is in beta. For token airdrops, though, the fee is not the biggest cost: every recipient who has never held your token needs a new token account, which costs 0.00148844 SOL of rent, more than any tool's fee.

I built SOLTidy, so take that into account. The differences between the cheap tools are small, and the table shows where others offer things SOLTidy does not.

What does each Solana multisender charge?

From each tool's own site or docs, checked on November 5, 2026. Several load prices only with a wallet connected; where I could not read a price, the table says so.

The free alternative is a script around the spl-token CLI, which costs only network fees and rent but needs a keypair file and your own retry logic.

What does an airdrop to 1,000 wallets really cost?

Here is the full bill for sending an SPL token to 1,000 wallets that have never held it, at the fees above:

CostSOLTidyTools at 0.001 SOL
Service fee0.9 SOL1.0 SOL
Token account rent (1,000 × 0.00148844)1.488 SOL1.488 SOL
Network fees (about 112 transactions × 0.000005)about 0.0006 SOLabout 0.0006 SOL
Totalabout 2.39 SOLabout 2.49 SOL

Rent is the same everywhere, because it is a Solana cost, not a tool fee. It drops to zero for recipients who already hold the token, and a good multisender checks which accounts exist before showing you the total. SOLTidy's looks up every recipient's account in chunks of 100 first, so the estimate is what you actually pay.

Two ways to cut rent:

  1. Send SOL instead of a token, if that fits your goal. No token account needed. A brand-new address must receive at least the rent-exempt minimum of 0.00065024 SOL at the current rate.
  2. Compressed tokens. ZK compression (Light Protocol's compressed tokens) avoids creating a regular token account for each recipient. Check that your recipients' wallets display compressed tokens before choosing a tool that offers it.

How does a Solana multisender batch transfers?

A Solana transaction is capped at 1,232 bytes, so a bulk send is really a series of transactions, each with as many transfers as fit. In SOLTidy's multisender:

  • SOL: about 20 recipients per transaction, one System Program transfer each.
  • SPL tokens to new holders: about 9 per transaction, because each recipient needs a create-account instruction plus a transfer.

Slerf's guide gives similar numbers: 19 addresses per transaction for SOL or existing token accounts, 9 for new ones. So 1,000 token recipients take roughly 112 transactions on any tool. What differs is how many wallet approvals that takes, how failures are handled and whether you can retry safely.

What features matter besides the fee?

  1. An exact cost preview. Rent should be counted per recipient before you sign, and sending should be blocked if your balance cannot cover it.
  2. List cleaning. Invalid addresses, duplicates and too many decimals flagged with line numbers. SOLTidy also skips off-curve addresses (program accounts) for tokens unless you allow them, since tokens sent there may be unrecoverable.
  3. Safe retries. After a busy-network run, some transactions expire. The tool should look them up again before marking them failed and never resend to recipients who were paid. SOLTidy rebuilds transactions for unpaid recipients only and makes you wait until an unresolved transaction has either landed or expired.
  4. A report. A CSV with every address, amount, status and signature is what you show your community.
  5. Token-2022 handling. Transfer-fee tokens deliver less than the listed amount; transfer-hook tokens need extra accounts. SOLTidy uses checked transfers and blocks hook mints rather than letting them fail.
  6. Holder snapshots. If you are airdropping to holders, you need the list first. SOLTidy's Airdrop Tool takes a snapshot of token or NFT holders, filters out pools, exchanges and burn wallets, sets equal, pro-rata or tiered amounts and sends, at the same 0.0009 SOL per recipient; the snapshot itself is free. Smithii charges 0.2 SOL per snapshot. The holder snapshot guide covers the method.

What if you need to send from many wallets?

Sometimes the funds are spread over several wallets, for example after a launch. SOLTidy's Many-to-Many Sender pays a recipient list from several source wallets, split evenly or with a source named on each line, and each source pays its own fees, at 0.0009 SOL per recipient. Slerf offers a many-to-many transfer at 0.001 SOL. Both need the source wallets' private keys in the page. SOLTidy keeps them in browser memory only and signs locally, but that is still a private key in a web page, so use it only for disposable wallets.

Which multisender should you use?

  • Lowest stated fee: SOLTidy at 0.0009 SOL per recipient; Smithii and Slerf are close at 0.001 SOL.
  • Very large lists where rent dominates: consider a ZK-compressed airdrop if your recipients' wallets support compressed tokens.
  • A holder airdrop in one flow: SOLTidy's Airdrop Tool, since the snapshot is free.
  • Many chains in one dashboard: Smithii or Slerf.
  • Free and technical: the spl-token CLI with your own script.

On 1,000 recipients the gap between 0.0009 and 0.001 SOL is 0.1 SOL. Accurate rent estimates, clean lists and safe retries usually matter more than that, so test any tool with a small list first.

Questions & answers

What is the cheapest Solana multisender?

Among tools with a published per-recipient fee checked on November 5, 2026, SOLTidy's 0.0009 SOL is the lowest, against 0.001 SOL on Smithii and Slerf Tools. FluxBeam's airdrop tool states no fee but is in beta and needs a custom RPC. The free route is a script with the spl-token CLI, which costs only network fees and rent.

How much does it cost to airdrop tokens to 1,000 wallets on Solana?

With SOLTidy, about 0.9 SOL in service fees, about 1.49 SOL in rent if all 1,000 wallets need a new token account, and well under 0.001 SOL in network fees: roughly 2.39 SOL. At 0.001 SOL per recipient the service fee is 1 SOL instead. Recipients who already hold the token need no new account and cost no rent.

Why is airdropping tokens more expensive than sending SOL?

Because each recipient needs a token account for that token, and creating one costs 0.00148844 SOL of rent at the current rate, paid by the sender. Sending SOL needs no token account. The only catch with SOL is that a brand-new address must receive at least the rent-exempt minimum, 0.00065024 SOL at the current rate, or the transfer fails.

Do Solana multisenders support Token-2022?

Several do. SOLTidy's multisender supports Token-2022 mints, including transfer-fee tokens, and blocks transfer-hook mints rather than letting them fail. Smithii's multisender page mentions SOL and SPL tokens without Token-2022 specifics. Check before you send, because a transfer-fee token delivers less than the listed amount.

Can I send from multiple wallets to multiple wallets?

Yes. SOLTidy's Many-to-Many Sender pays a recipient list from several source wallets, each paying its own share, for 0.0009 SOL per recipient. Slerf offers a many-to-many transfer at 0.001 SOL. Both need the source wallets' private keys, so use them only for disposable wallets.
