Key takeaways

  • As of November 5, 2026, Solana token creator fees range from free (FluxBeam's FluxTools) and 0.1 SOL (SOLTidy, Slerf) to 0.5 SOL (Smithii, SolTokenCreator).
  • Creating a Solana token with name, symbol and logo costs about 0.0163 SOL in network rent and the Metaplex fee, whichever tool builds the transaction.
  • Smithii and SolTokenCreator charge 0.1 SOL for each authority revoke at creation, so a token with mint, freeze and update authority revoked costs 0.8 SOL in fees on either.
  • SOLTidy charges 0.1 SOL to create a token and 0.054 SOL per revoke, and leaves freeze authority off by default, so a token with mint revoked and immutable metadata costs 0.208 SOL in fees.
  • Slerf Tools creates a Token-2022 tax token for 0.1 SOL, cheaper than SOLTidy's 0.15 SOL, according to Slerf's fee announcement checked in November 2026.

The short answer

The cheapest way to create a Solana token is free: FluxBeam describes its FluxTools as free, and the spl-token CLI costs only network fees. Among paid no-code creators, SOLTidy and Slerf Tools charge 0.1 SOL, Orion Tools' form shows 0.4 SOL with a required freeze revoke, and Smithii and SolTokenCreator charge 0.5 SOL plus 0.1 SOL per revoke. The network cost underneath is the same everywhere, about 0.0163 SOL. All fees below were checked on the tools' own sites on November 5, 2026.

I built SOLTidy, so read this with that in mind. Where another tool is cheaper, the table says so.

Why is the network cost the same everywhere?

Because every token creator builds the same accounts. A classic SPL token with a name and logo is a mint account, your token account holding the supply, and a Metaplex metadata account, plus Metaplex's 0.01 SOL create fee. At the current rent rate that is about 0.0163 SOL, whoever builds the transaction. The lamport-level breakdown is in how much it costs to create a Solana token.

What a no-code tool adds is its fee, logo and metadata hosting, and the authority options. Those are what this comparison is about.

What does each Solana token creator charge?

Checked on each tool's own site or docs on November 5, 2026. Fees change, and several tools load prices only after you connect a wallet, so read the fee line before you sign.

What does a "safe" token cost on each?

The fee that matters is the one for the token you will actually launch. Buyers and rug checkers expect mint authority revoked and no freeze authority, and many also look for immutable metadata. Mint authority vs freeze authority explains why. Tool fees for that token, excluding the 0.0163 SOL network cost:

ToolMint revoked, no freeze, metadata immutableHow it adds up
FluxBeamFreeNo fees stated
SOLTidy0.208 SOL0.1 + 0.054 mint + 0.054 immutable; freeze is never set
Smithii0.8 SOL0.5 + 0.1 mint + 0.1 freeze + 0.1 update
SolTokenCreator0.8 SOL0.5 + 0.1 × 3 revokes

I left out tools whose add-on prices I could not read without a wallet, rather than guess. Slerf's base fee matches SOLTidy's, and its later revoke is 0.06 SOL against SOLTidy's 0.054.

The freeze point is worth knowing. On several creators the freeze authority is set by default and costs a fee to revoke; on SOLTidy it is off unless you turn it on, so there is nothing to revoke.

Which tools support Token-2022 tax tokens?

A tax token is a Token-2022 mint with the transfer fee extension, which withholds a percentage on every transfer for the creator to collect. As of November 5, 2026:

  • Slerf Tools: 0.1 SOL, the cheapest paid option we found with a stated price.
  • SOLTidy: 0.15 SOL with the Tax Token Creator: fee from 0.01% to 10%, optional cap, metadata stored in the mint through the Token-2022 metadata extension. Collected fees are claimed later with Claim Withheld Fees for 0.09 SOL.
  • Smithii: 0.5 SOL.
  • FluxBeam: creates Token-2022 tokens with a choice of extensions; no fee stated.
  • SolTokenCreator: not in its automated flow yet.

Before you choose Token-2022, check where the token will trade. Raydium CPMM accepts Token-2022 mints within an extension allow-list; OpenBook v1 and Raydium AMM v4 do not. Setting and claiming Token-2022 transfer fees covers the mechanics.

How do the tools handle the logo and metadata?

Your token's metadata account stores a URI that points to a JSON file with the name, symbol and logo. If that file disappears, wallets show a blank icon. Per each tool's own pages:

  • Smithii: uploads name, symbol and logo to IPFS.
  • SOLTidy: hosts the uploaded logo and JSON at a permanent link on SOLTidy, or you paste the URI of a file you host yourself.
  • SolTokenCreator: says logo hosting is included, without naming the host.
  • Orion Tools, CoinFactory: not stated on the pages I checked.

If permanence matters to you, host the JSON yourself on IPFS or Arweave and paste its URI; every tool above accepts that one way or another. Why a token logo is not showing covers what goes wrong.

What else should you compare besides the fee?

  1. Custody. The mint key should be generated in your browser and the whole supply should land in your wallet. All the tools above say they are non-custodial.
  2. What happens after creation. Revoking later, updating metadata, burning and creating a pool each carry their own fees. SOLTidy charges 0.054 SOL to revoke mint authority later and 0.045 SOL to update metadata; Slerf charges 0.06 and 0.05; Smithii 0.2 and 0.1.
  3. Liquidity. If you want pools, presales or bundlers on the same site, Smithii, Slerf and CoinFactory cover more of that. SOLTidy creates Raydium CPMM and Meteora DAMM v2 pools; see how to create a Raydium liquidity pool.
  4. Chains. Smithii, Slerf and CoinFactory also work on EVM chains. SOLTidy is Solana only.

Which token creator should you use?

  • Lowest cost and you are comfortable with Token-2022 tools: FluxBeam, or the spl-token CLI.
  • Low-cost classic SPL token with a no-code form: SOLTidy or Slerf at 0.1 SOL; total depends on revokes.
  • Cheapest tax token with a stated price: Slerf at 0.1 SOL.
  • Many chains and launch tools in one dashboard: Smithii or Slerf, at a higher per-token price on Smithii.

Whatever you pick, the step-by-step is the same: how to create a Solana token walks through every field, including the authorities.

Questions & answers

What is the cheapest Solana token creator?

Free options exist: FluxBeam describes its FluxTools as free, and the spl-token CLI costs only network fees. Among paid no-code creators checked on November 5, 2026, SOLTidy and Slerf Tools charge the least we found, 0.1 SOL. Smithii and SolTokenCreator charge 0.5 SOL. Add revoke fees to compare the real total.

How much does it cost to create a Solana token?

About 0.0163 SOL in network costs for a token with Metaplex metadata: rent for the mint, your token account and the metadata account, plus Metaplex's 0.01 SOL fee. That part is the same in every tool. The tool's own fee comes on top, from nothing to 0.5 SOL, plus any authority revokes.

Do I need to revoke mint and freeze authority?

If you want buyers and screeners to trust the token, usually yes. An active mint authority lets the creator print more supply, and an active freeze authority lets them freeze holders' tokens; both are flagged by rug checkers. Some tools leave freeze authority off by default, which saves a revoke fee.

Which Solana token creators support Token-2022?

SOLTidy's Tax Token Creator, Slerf's tax token tool and FluxBeam all create Token-2022 tokens with a transfer fee, and Smithii offers a tax token creator. SolTokenCreator's site says Token-2022 extensions are not part of its automated flow yet. Check which extensions each supports before you choose.

Is it safe to use an online Solana token creator?

A reputable one is non-custodial: the mint key is generated in your browser, the transaction is signed in your wallet, and the full supply lands in your wallet. Check the domain, read the wallet prompt, and avoid any creator that asks for a seed phrase or wants to hold the mint authority for you.
