SOLTidy vs SolanaFM
SolanaFM is a full explorer with an indexer behind it and a free API, so for browsing accounts, transfers and tokens, or for pulling data into your own code, it does more than SOLTidy. SOLTidy is the quicker pick for single jobs: decoding one transaction with errors explained, checking up to 1,000 balances at once, or exporting every holder of a mint. They work well side by side.
SolanaFM: A Solana block explorer and indexer, owned by Jupiter since 2024, with a free rate-limited API and an open IDL-based parser. Facts checked November 5, 2026 from solana.fm.
Choose SOLTidy if…
- You want a failed transaction explained, with known error codes translated into plain language.
- You need balances for a pasted list of up to 1,000 wallets, with USD totals and CSV export.
- You want every holder of a token, or a hashlist of an NFT collection, as a download.
- You want a rug check on a token's authorities and Token-2022 extensions in the same place.
Choose SolanaFM if…
- You want a full explorer for accounts, transfers, tokens, blocks and network stats.
- You want a free API: SolanaFM's docs list a free tier at 10 requests per second with no stated price.
- You need transfers as CSV through the API, or token accounts for a mint in pages.
- You decode program data in your own code; SolanaFM publishes Explorer Kit, an open IDL-based parser.
- You look up SNS .sol domains, which SolanaFM's API covers.

Where SolanaFM is ahead
SolanaFM runs its own indexer, so it can answer questions a single RPC call cannot: an account's full transfer list, daily fees, tagged accounts and SNS domains. Its documentation says the APIs are free, gated only by rate limits, with 10 requests per second on most endpoints and lower limits on heavy ones such as token holders and CSV exports.
SolanaFM also publishes Explorer Kit, an open package that uses program IDLs to decode instructions, events and account data, so developers can do the same parsing in their own apps.
Where SOLTidy fits
SOLTidy has no explorer and no API. Its tools read the chain directly from your browser for one job each: a transaction decoder that explains failures, a balance checker for up to 1,000 addresses, holder snapshots for tokens and NFT collections with CSV export, and a rug check. If you would otherwise script SolanaFM's API for one of those jobs, SOLTidy does it without code.
Questions & answers
Is the SolanaFM API free?
Yes. SolanaFM's docs say the APIs are free of charge and gated by rate limiting. The free tier lists 10 requests per second and 1 GB of bandwidth, with lower limits on heavier endpoints.
Who owns SolanaFM?
Jupiter announced it had acquired SolanaFM in September 2024 and said the explorer would keep running as usual.
How do I export Solana token holders without writing code?
SOLTidy's token holder snapshot lists every holder of an SPL or Token-2022 mint and exports CSV, JSON or TXT. SolanaFM offers holder data through its API.
Which is better for reading a failed transaction?
Both show the instructions and logs. SOLTidy's decoder also turns known System, Token and Jupiter error codes into a plain-language reason. SolanaFM adds a full explorer around the transaction and an open IDL-based parser for developers.
The SOLTidy tools in this comparison
- Transaction Decoder Paste a signature and read any Solana transaction in plain language: balances, instructions, errors, logs.
- Balance Checker Check SOL, any token or the full SPL and Token-2022 portfolio of up to 1,000 Solana wallets, with USD values, totals and CSV export.
- Holder Snapshot List every holder of an SPL or Token-2022 mint and export the snapshot as CSV, JSON or TXT.
- NFT Snapshot & Hashlist List every holder of a Solana NFT collection, see the distribution, and export a hashlist or holder CSV.
